Directions:
Put water onto boil. If making a large quantity of mashed potato then it is better to divide into several smaller pots, as it is easier for to handle for draining and mashing.
Peel potatoes and chop into large cubes (about 3cm). Add salt to the water and cook potatoes in salted water.
Drain potatoes into large colander. Take some potato out for dairy free people and set aside.
Start mashing potatoes. Once the potatoes are partly mashed add the butter and some of the milk, and pepper.
Add more milk gradually while mashing to get the right consistency
For the DF potatoes, use the same method but add dairy free spread or olive oil, and dairy free milk alternative. |
