Directions:
sift flour and salt
stir in sugar and rolled oats
in a saucepan melt butter, golden syrup and vanilla essence
dissolve baking soda into boiling water and stir into butter mixture
pour quickly into dry ingredients, mixing well
roll Tablespoons of mixture into balls and place on baking paper on trays.
flatten lightly with a fork
bake at 180 C for 12 - 15 mins
cool on racks
serving dependant on size of balls |
