Directions:
Start 2 days before you wish to serve.
Soak fruit in orange juice overnight.
Next day- preheat oven to 150C
Add flour, ground almonds, essence, and spice. Adjust consistency with extra flour or juice if needed.
Place in greased and lined 20cm cake tin. Press chopped almonds lightly into the top.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours, then cover with baking paper and cook a further 1 hour until wooden skewer comes out clean.
Make at least one day before serving. |
