Directions:
Either put cheese out for kids to serve themselves, or add to the bun before the frankfurter.
Slice rolls lengthwise almost in half.
Put cold frankfurter in cold bun, add sauce (but not too much or else it gets soggy), if you want, and cooked onion, then wrap in foil and put in slow cooker on low. They will be hot in 1/2-2 hours, and OK for an hour or so.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 170°C. Mix onion with oil, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Spread in a roasting dish and bake for 45 minutes or until tender and lightly golden. Remove and allow to cool.
